Dr. Koreen Martfeld, Registered Psychologist
Enhanced C.A.C. Ltd. is a private psychological practice operated by Dr. Koreen Martfeld, registered psychologist (AB #3427). Dr. Martfeld has worked in private practice as a clinical and counselling psychologist for the past fifteen years. In addition she has worked within Alberta Health and Alberta Children's Services as a forensic and clinical psychologist, and has more than twenty five years experience as an educator and professor in schools and universities.
Dr. Martfeld practices in the areas of clinical/counselling, forensic/parenting, and educational psychology. Koreen holds undergraduate degrees in education and psychology, a masters in counselling psychology, and a Ph. D. in psychology.
Her knowledge includes, but is not limited to, the areas of:
-forensic assessment in child custody matters
-psychoeducational and psychological assessment
- trauma therapy and trauma recovery including complex trauma histories
- parent/child/teen conflict and parenting
-divorce and parenting after separation
- child and adolescent development
- cognitive assessment, learning disabilities, and developmental disorders/autism
- DSM 5 diagnoses and mental illnesses
- human development and sexuality
- family systems and couples
In addition to private practice, Dr. Martfeld Is also the Program Director for City University in Canada (Edmonton campus) Master of Counselling program, and works in a non-profit mental health program for children.
Koreen is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, Psychological Association of Alberta, Alberta Teacher's Association, College of Forensic Psychologists, and Alberta Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts.
